Poem of Christ's Passion
We are excited to share a new inspirational book from Theophilus Literary Creations entitled Poem of Christ’s Passion! Here is an excerpt from the book’s introduction explaining the inspiration behind the book:
I wrote this poem to God on November 17, 2016. The poem is based on the scripture found in Hebrews 12:2 which says: “…looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the Right Hand of the Throne of God.” Much is put forth in this seemingly simple and short verse, but the Lord showed me so much more than I ever imagined when I lifted my pen to paper. God is so awesomely gracious and overflowing with His love and mercy although not one of us is worthy of the least of His mercies! Now my prayerful intent is that this poem of the Gospel of Jesus Christ will bless all those who read it in faith to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ Who is worthy of much more adoration than we have the capacity to offer. The day following the initial completion of my draft the Lord gave me a dream:
I saw in my dream Christ, Who appeared like an Arabian Prince dressed in garments of pure gold and He offered me to drink from golden cups His wine. We drank in communion as if it was a wedding feast and the drinking sealed our bond forever. I was reminded of the scripture, “ …But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.” (Matthew 26:29) I saw fascinating glimpses of golden treasures but apparently it was not my time to receive them. Christ gave me an ornate golden crown-the gift of my anointing! This ended the dream.
In my prayer diary I wrote on December 4, 2016: “I just realized this dream is God’s confirmation of the Poem of Christ’s Passion”. So I dedicate this poem to my Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ, the Son of the Living God! To God be the glory!
Peace to every believer in Christ!
